Welcome to our Guide to the Harvard System of Referencing (6th edition). This guide is compiled by the University Library, to support students, researchers and academic. staff at ARU. To help you there is a printable quick guide, or a full guide in .pdf format. The full guide has two sections.

University Library’s referencing page How Harvard Referencing Works. There are two stages to referencing sources using the Harvard system. Firstly, you need to cite the source in the body of your work, at the point where you’re referring to it. This is called the in-text citation.
